Next Venture's client, a leading manufacturer of personal and commercial aerospace components, is seeking a Wireless Systems Engineer to join the team in San Mateo, CA.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge across all 7 layers of the protocol stack with deepest experience at the physical layer.
Responsibilities:
- Simulate, evaluate, implement and optimize the client's wireless solutions.
- Extend the range, enhance the operation in use cases and manage various connection topologies.
- Lead the development, design, deployment, tuning and evaluation of the OTA performance metrics.
- You will explore and evaluate multiple wireless solutions in components and ground stations.
- You will collaborate with HW,SW, Firmware and HW engineers to improve existing wireless networks and develop the next generation solution for the network.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in wireless development
- An advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in a relevant area of study (i.e. Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc.)
- Expert level usage of C++
- Working knowledge of other C based languages such as C or Python
- Some experience with MATLAB and Simulink
- Tangible working experience and use cases of: PHY and MAC level simulations, firmware development, and work with equipment such as wireless test equipment, Protocol analyzer, PHY level test equipment
