Overview
The Specialty Services Coordinator has lead direct patient care responsibilities for invasive surgical services. In addition, this individual will act as a facilitator, mentor, and preceptor for staff. The Coordinator exhibits a positive, progressive, professional role model for staff by contributing to the effective management and operation of a surgical department. In collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff members, assesses plans, directs, and evaluates care of patients undergoing surgical interventions. Assumes cost responsibility for the operating and capital budgets for designated clinical service.
Graduate of an accredited radiology program or graduate of an accredited nursing program
Two (2) years experience in invasive procedures required, or 3 years experience of professional nursing experience required
Current ARRT, RCIS, or RN (current GA license).
If RN, Certification in Operating Room nursing (CNOR) must be obtained within 2 years of being placed in position.
