Lead the full testing lifecycle at this LA-based NewSpace company building next-gen systems for space exploration.
Test Engineer Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the full testing lifecycle, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) testing to ensure robust integration of embedded software with cutting-edge space hardware.
- Perform environmental stress testing (thermal, vibration, shock) to validate hardware for space deployment.
- Develop automated test frameworks (Python) for hardware and software validation, ensuring system readiness for the rigors of space.
- Collaborate closely with avionics, propulsion, and hardware teams to troubleshoot and optimize hardware performance.
- Drive continuous improvements in test processes, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of camera systems to spacecraft integration.
Test Engineer Requirements
- 3+ years in hardware/software testing for aerospace, satellites, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with HiL and SiL testing methodologies for real-time system validation.
- Strong knowledge of environmental testing (thermal, vibration, vacuum) and hardware diagnostics.
- Proficiency in Python-based test automation and experience with low-level hardware interfaces (sensors, PCBs).
A US Citizenship is required due to ITAR regulations.
