Primary Areas of Focus:
Proposal Planning and Evaluation:
- Supplier and Subcontractor Sourcing
- Commercial Specification Review and Understanding
- Interaction with Estimating, Legal, Operations Teams to ensure Proposal Compliance
Project Execution:
- Solicit bids, evaluate quotations, supplier selection, Contract Execution
- Change Management
- Scheduling and Expediting of Deliverables, Services, Materials
Project Close Out and Evaluation:
- Warranty efforts as needed
- Contract Close Outs
- Continuous Improvement efforts.
Sourcing and Supplier/Subcontractor Development:
- Find and qualify potential Suppliers and Subcontractors
- Work with the Quality Team to audit Suppliers for capabilities.
- Supplier Evaluations – Post Project and Yearly
Essential Functions:
- Complete Purchase Order Contracts on a clear and concise basis as required by the Project needs.
- Understand and negotiate Commercial Terms and Conditions with Suppliers and Subcontractors.
- Secure and analyze quotations; negotiate prices and terms with suppliers; and recommend suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness.
- Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution, including managing scheduling changes and cancellations.
- Manage and negotiate resolutions for Supplier or Subcontractor Issues.
- Interface with the Operations Team, Scheduling, Field Engineering, Site Administration, Finance organizations, and Legal Department as required.
- Participate in Supplier Evaluations and annual performance reviews, as required.
- Ability to understand Project Specifications and requirements to identify key requirements for compliance of Subcontractor bidding and execution.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of related work experience.
- Construction Experience Preferred.
- Strong negotiating skills and analytical skills.
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage changing/conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management.
