Role: Embedded Software Engineer - Networking
Location: Maryland
Client: Leading Autonomous System Defense Developer
Responsibilities:
- Evaluating new network architectures, analysing risks and opportunities, deriving hardware and software requirements, collaborating with the electrical engineering team.
- Developing and configuring embedded software and hardware
- Performing compliance testing, conducting comprehensive networking tests.
- Ensuring safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, and security of automotive networking protocols and standards.
Requirements:
- Over 5 years of professional experience with embedded firmware focusing on networking.
- Experience integrating, testing, and troubleshooting PHYs and embedded switches, with proficiency in RTOS and/or Linux operating systems, and a deep understanding of networking layers 0-4 and protocols such as TCP/UDP, static/dynamic routing, and VLANs.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both software and hardware at the system, network, and component levels.
- Knowledge of Automotive Safety such as ISO 26262 is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field.
