O’Hagan Meyer PLLC is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate with 2-8 years of wage & hour litigation experience to join its Orange County, CA office. The ideal candidate will have significant experience handling all aspects of individual, class and collective wage-and-hour actions.

This role can be hybrid, in-office or remote depending on attorney's preference and location.
Job Requirements
- 2-6 years of litigation experience, including researching and writing legal memoranda, drafting pleadings, substantive motions and written discovery, developing litigation strategy, conducting large-scale document reviews and productions, preparing for trial or arbitration, working directly with clients, communicating with opposing counsel and second-chairing trials, depositions and/or evidentiary hearings.
- The ideal candidate will have experience defending employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to pay wages or benefits, breach of contract, wrongful termination, negligent hiring and defamation.
- In addition, this candidate must have substantial experience defending clients against collective, class and representative wage-and-hour cases, including claims of meal and rest period violations, regular rate of pay cases, off-the-clock work, reimbursement claims, and misclassification cases. This attorney must also have significant PAGA and FEHA experience.
- This role requires excellent writing and analytical skills as well as the ability to draft persuasive, clear and effective pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, memoranda, mediation statements, orders and settlement agreements.
- This attorney should have strong interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have the confidence and demeanor to build relationships with the Firm’s current clients, as well as the drive and ability to develop additional client relationships and business.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are required for the role. The ideal candidate will be able to efficiently manage multiple matters at a time and produce exceptional work product under tight deadlines.
- The ideal candidate will have the ability to work as part of a team, but also possess the experience, skills and confidence to step into a leadership role.
- This attorney must demonstrate a drive for excellence and a willingness to take the initiative to solve problems. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious and highly motivated attorney who always strives to achieve the best possible result for the client.
- This role requires an attorney who is detail-oriented and thorough.
- The billing requirement is 1,900 hours per year. Annual bonuses are given for hours billed in excess of this minimum requirement.
