Data Engineer (Investment BanK)

Position Summary: An investment bank in NYC is seeking a Data Engineer to join their innovative data team. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in Azure cloud technologies, experience in building data pipelines, and a deep understanding of data warehousing principles. You will collaborate closely with the Data Architect and Power BI Report Developer to create, implement, and manage comprehensive data solutions that generate insights and guide key business decisions.
Ideal Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Knowledge of Power BI tools and data flow from modeling to visualization.
- Familiarity with Power Automate and integration with chatbots such as Co-Pilot Studio.
- Exposure to DealCloud (Deal Lifecycle Management tool).
- Experience with Snowflake.
- Understanding of the Medallion Data Architecture.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps and Git for version control.
- Experience setting up and managing development environments.
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts and Large Language Models (LLMs).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- 10-15 years of progressively responsible work experience.
- At least 3-5 years in a Data Engineering role, ideally within the financial services sector.
- Azure Data Engineering or equivalent certifications are preferred.
