We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Health and Safety Manager to lead our HSE initiatives and drive our commitment to top-tier safety standards.
Your Role:
As the Plant Health and Safety Manager, you will be the driving force behind our HSE efforts, ensuring compliance with national legislation and adherence to our Group's HSE policies. You will lead a talented team of HSE professionals and interns, delivering exceptional safety outcomes while championing environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Analysis & Solutions: Evaluate site risks and implement innovative solutions to enhance working conditions, industrial safety, and environmental compliance.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and propose an annual HSE action plan to site management, aligning with organizational goals and regulations.
- Coaching & Support: Provide expert coaching and support to site management and employees, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
- Engineering Collaboration: Partner with the engineering team to integrate HSE considerations into Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Networking & Reporting: Engage with the Faurecia HSE network and manage reporting requirements for the Faurecia group.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure legal compliance, oversee HSE audits and training programs, and handle accident investigations and preventative measures.
- Claims & Safety Programs: Manage Worker’s Compensation Claims, represent the company in hearings, and lead return-to-work and safety programs.
- Training & Development: Conduct safety and environmental training, manage safety eyewear and safety shoe programs, and address ergonomic issues.
- Environmental Stewardship: Ensure environmental testing, legal compliance, and maintain the Environmental Management System (EMS) in line with ISO 14001 standards.
- Emergency Response: Be on-call 24/7 for incident administration, demonstrating your commitment to safety at all times.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in HSE management within an industrial environment.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with HSE tools and methodologies (AMDEC, 5 Whys, job instruction, audits), and general knowledge of automotive production technologies.
- Competencies: Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage Worker’s Compensation. Fluent in English with a commitment to continuous professional development.
