As an iSeries/AS400 Programmer, you will design, develop & maintain software, databases and underlying services supporting the Waffle House Operations. The ideal candidate will proficiently write programs that will increase company productivity under the direction of the Senior Software Team Lead.

What you'll do:
- Work closely with customers (IT staff, management teams, corporate staff restaurants operators, etc.) during planning, designing, and developing software solutions
- Write, test, and implement programs
- Monitor and respond to customer issues and product requests
- Monitor the health of the automated services and processes underlying Waffle House system
- Assist users in performing operational evaluation of installed systems and in making system adjustments to increase effectiveness
- Perform technical reviews of application systems to identify and correct system problems
What we're looking for:
- Someone with a positive, can-do attitude with focus on both quality and efficient delivery
- Strong background in analyzing, documenting, installing, developing, and maintaining software on the AS400/iSeries
- Strong communication skills and documentation experience are essential. Must be able to articulate the business requirements and project scope to our customers, as well as members of the development team
- Proven track record of managing timelines and deliverables
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience/Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related technology field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant job experience with increasing depth and breadth of responsibilities/assignments
- Experience with COBOL, CL, RPG, DB2 SQL, DDS, Sub Files, Interactive Screen Design, Visual LANSA, VBS, LVDMS Document Management System, Eztrieve and web development/management background
