Position Overview:
We're seeking a highly motivated and skilled Biosensor Scientist to join our dynamic team. As a Biosensor Scientist, your primary focus will be on the integration of biology with bioFET devices. You will be at the forefront of developing and optimizing our cutting-edge technology platform for in vitro diagnostic applications. Your responsibilities will include the development and characterization of deposition methods for protein/antibodies, nucleic acids, small molecules, etc., the functional evaluation of deposited analytes, and the screening of novel assays. Your work will be instrumental in maximizing detection sensitivity and specificity for various targets, and you will play a key role in driving the commercialization of rapid, near-patient, point-of-care in vitro diagnostic solutions leveraging groundbreaking bioFET technology.
Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Surface Coupling/Attachment and Characterization
- Develop methods to successfully deposit biological materials onto model biosensor surfaces to enable specific and sensitive detection of target analytes.
- Characterize and optimize surface chemistry and functionalization techniques, including labeled and label-free biosensor technologies for signal amplification and ensure stable and reproducible biosensor performance. This includes the operation, maintenance, and ownership of appropriate tools used in such processes and methods.
- Concisely summarize and interpret the data obtained and integrate new learnings with the nanowire bioFET platform.
Experimentation
- Work with the team to design and run experiments, collect and analyze data, and clearly summarize objectives, conclusions, observations, and next steps in team meetings and discussions. Support decision-making processes by providing experimental insights and recommendations.
- Support project-related activities, including documentation, protocol development, and technical presentations.
Collaborative Research and Development
