As a Railway Maintenance Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and overseeing maintenance programs for rolling stock. You will work closely with our clients, including transit authorities and rail operators, to ensure that maintenance processes are efficient, effective, and compliant with industry standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing the performance and reliability of rolling stock through strategic maintenance planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn to develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs for rolling stock, including preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and technicians to identify maintenance needs and establish program requirements.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
- Analyze maintenance data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance teams and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present reports on maintenance program performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommendations for enhancements.
- Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure maintenance programs remain cutting-edge and compliant.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Professional Engineer) are a plus.
- 8-10 years of experience in railway engineering and maintenance, with experience focusing on developing and managing maintenance programs for rolling stock.
- Experience working with or for a transit authority is a major advantage.
- Proven experience in production work and familiarity with rolling stock systems and components.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance methodologies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
