Job Overview
The Supply Chain Administrator will support a variety of activities, primarily in the Lake Forest facility, but also in the Aliso Viejo and Tustin facilities as, when, and if required. These duties will include, but not be limited to, monitoring of stock, executing physical and systemic transactions and product/material movements, completion of material requisitions (PC Order Lists), system transactions in STAAR’s ERP system, and maintenance of paper records as needed in a Class III manufacturing environment.
This position will primarily be based in STAAR’s Lake Forest facility, but will be required to travel to STAAR’s other facilities (Aliso Viejo, Monrovia and Tustin) as needed. Initial on boarding and training for the position will be based in Monrovia.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure the inventory of raw materials and production supplies required to run production in the Lake Forest facility is adequately maintained
• Ensure the necessary office supplies and non-inventory expense items for the Lake Forest facility are maintained
• Complete and process the PC Orders Lists and manual material requisitions needed to support the above two objectives
• Process any transactions required in the Infoflo ERP system in order to maintain inventory accuracy and also ensure appropriate traceability of materials used in production
• Perform shop movement transactions in the Infoflo ERP system to ensure appropriate visibility of job status
• Perform Daily Cycle Counts and annual Physical inventory again to ensure inventory accuracy
• Perform the physical movement of materials from the stock room to the appropriate production floor stock location(s)
• Arrange for and execute the physical movements of completed lenses from the Lake Forest to the Monrovia facility
• Back up support for Shipping and/or Receiving department in Monrovia as needed
• Other duties and special projects as assigned by management
EDUCATION & TRAINING
• Minimum of high school diploma required, college degree preferred
EXPERIENCE
• Familiarity with standard office procedures and equipment
• Extensive data entry experience
• Experience working with MRP/ERP systems would be a plus
• Solid experience with Word and Excel is required, intermediate or advanced level preferred
• Must have minimum of two years of experience in working in a class III medical device manufacturing facility
SKILLS
• Must have good communication skills at all levels
• Computer literate with strong Excel and Word skills
• Understanding of material/inventory control systems a definite plus
• Organizational skills also definite plus
