Primary Purpose:
The role of a K-12 Network Operations Executive Director at ILTexas (International Leadership of Texas) involves overseeing the technological infrastructure and operations across the entire K-12 school network. Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry standard certification
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience:
Extensive experience in IT management, preferably in a K-12 educational environment, with a strong background in network and systems operations, cybersecurity, and project management.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Strategic Planning and Leadership:
− Develop and implement strategic plans for the network operations that align with the overall goals and objectives of ILTexas.
− Lead the design, implementation, and management of network infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure access to digital resources across all K-12 campuses.
2. Operational Management:
− Oversee daily operations of the IT department, including network and systems infrastructure, data center operations, cybersecurity, and user support.
− Ensure that the network systems are maintained, updated, and secure, with minimal downtime and maximum performance.
− Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards of service.
3. Infrastructure and Systems Management:
− Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
− Ensure the security and integrity of all digital systems and data.
4. Team Leadership and Development:
− Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
− Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment that supports continuous improvement and operational excellence.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
− Collaborate with school administrators, educators, and other stakeholders to ensure that IT services meet the educational and operational needs of the network.
− Act as the primary point of contact for network operations, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
6. Project Management:
− Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
− Manage large-scale network upgrades and expansions, including the deployment of new technologies.
7. Compliance and Security:
− Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including data protection and privacy regulations.
− Develop and implement policies and procedures for network security, data integrity, and disaster recovery.
8. Innovation and Technology Integration:
− Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in education technology to identify opportunities for innovation.
− Lead the integration of new technologies into the network to enhance the educational experience and operational efficiency.
