In the role of an Engineering Intern, we’ll count on you to:
- Develop project scopes and write proposals with the assistance of an engineer.
- Follow up with proposals and provide efforts necessary to win projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Conducting various geotechnical analyses on a wide variety of public and private sector projects with the assistance of an engineer.
- Writing geotechnical reports with recommendations for earthwork, shallow and deep foundations, rigid and flexible pavement, stormwater ponds, dewatering, etc. with the assistance of an engineer.
- Perform field investigations and observation and inspections, and the writing, preparation, and review of related reports with the assistance of an engineer.
- Assist in the coordination of fieldwork and perform tasks in the field as needed.
- Review and approve CMT reports.
- Classify soils in the laboratory and assign appropriate lab tests.
- Coordinate and execute drilling operations including direct communication with drillers.
- Attending meetings and presentations as needed.
- Assist with CAD.

Qualifications:
- BS in Civil Engineering.
- EI licensure in Florida, or the ability to obtain it is a plus. We are looking for someone who wants to grow in their engineering career.
- Familiarity with CAD is a plus.
- Superior technical ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities.
- An attitude of commitment to being an active participant in our employee culture.
- Physically able to walk and work in outdoor/construction site environments with uneven terrain and variable outdoor conditions including, heat, cold, noise, and moisture.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check (for federal/military base access) and have a driver’s license with clean MVR.
