Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and analyze a range of legal documents, including reports to carriers, pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Represent clients in court appearances for conferences, motions, and hearings.
- Manage complex cases from initiation to resolution.
- Collaborate with experts and fellow legal professionals to achieve favorable outcomes.
Qualifications:
- 0-3 years of experience in insurance defense (preferred but not required).
- Must be an active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
- Experience in personal injury and/or bodily injury litigation (plaintiff or defense) is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in the insurance industry or corporate risk management is a plus.
- Strong case management skills, with the ability to conduct comprehensive discovery.
- Excellent writing, litigation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take depositions and work effectively with experts.
