About the position:
- This is a fully-remote position. If you live in San Francisco and are able to stop by the office each day, we'd love that, but it's not required. If you want to work from a physical office, we can provide one for you at 50 California Street (we have one that nobody is using.) Your daily work responsibilities will not require you to live in the Bay Area. You can live wherever you want. Our team of 6 experienced attorneys/5 support staff communicate throughout the day via Slack staying up to speed on how we can help each other succeed.
- Familiarity with the following programs would be beneficial: Slack, Outlook, Clio Manage, Clio Drafts, Adobe Acrobat.
- You will have a monthly billable hour requirement of 115 hours per month. If you exceed the minimum requirement, you will receive a monthly bonus. Our priority is the level of service we provide to our clients and not the number of hours we bill to each case.
- Your employer is a mother of two littles and deeply understands the value of your time. We do our work and then return to our personal lives. Each week we have case meetings where we collaborate on each case, celebrate wins, discuss challenges, and assign projects
- We have a Managing Paralegal, Brianna that has more paralegal work than she can handle on her own. We are looking for either a more junior paralegal, or an equally experienced senior-level paralegal to support our cases.
- The salary range for a full-time position is $80,000 - $105,000+
- Benefits include monthly bonus compensation, health insurance, dental insurance, matching 401(k), PTO, and a tech budget.

Who you are:
- You have 3+ years of experience working at a California-based Family Law Firm. Yes, it must be family law, and yes it must be in California. This means you have familiarity with calendaring hard and soft legal deadlines, drafting the required forms, and supporting a California Family Law attorney.
- You are looking for a law firm where you feel supported and valued and can plant roots for the foreseeable future.
- You take a lot of pride in the manner you are able to keep the attorneys you support organized and on task, and see your success and the attorneys' success as one and the same.
- You brag about the ways you proactively think of ways to add value to your cases, whether that is setting a tickler to remind an attorney to respond to an email that has come in and following up with them via Slack or giving the client a call to check in on how they are doing and being there for them during a tough time.
- You are a team player and are happy to take time to learn how the administrative team members of the firm do their jobs so that you can cover for them if or when the need arises. (This would include learning how to schedule clients for meetings with the attorneys, learning how to handle a new case evaluation, and learning receptionist duties in the unlikely event we need back up support.)
- You are stickler for grammar and punctuation and enjoy reviewing attorney work product to ensure it meets the firm's high standards.
