Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Land Surveyor to join our team. This position is office-based and will focus on a variety of survey-related tasks including survey calculations, final mapping, scheduling field crews, preparing easements, and working with CAD software. You will play a critical role in supporting field operations and ensuring the accuracy and quality of survey data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform survey calculations and data analysis to support ongoing projects.
- Prepare **final maps** and plats based on survey data.
- Schedule and coordinate** field crews for survey projects, ensuring efficiency and timeliness.
- Draft and review **easement documents** and legal descriptions as needed.
- CAD drafting and development of survey-related drawings and layouts.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to meet project timelines.
- Maintain organized project records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in **AutoCAD** and other CAD software.
- Familiarity with surveying equipment and software such as GPS, total stations, or similar tools.
- Ability to perform accurate calculations and interpret survey data.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage scheduling and crew coordination.
- Basic knowledge of **easements, boundary law, and legal descriptions** is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
