Kjar, McKenna & Stockalper, seeks assiduous and detail-oriented Associates to join our thriving Huntington Beach office, to practice on one of our Medical Malpractice, Legal Malpractice, General Liability, Products Liability, Public Entity Defense and Municipal Liability focused teams.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have experience handling civil litigation matters. We are currently hiring for the following practice areas:

Excellent interpersonal skills, oral advocacy, writing skills, and motivation, are a must. Experience in insurance defense litigation and general familiarity with carrier billing and reporting guidelines is preferred. - JD from an ABA school required.
- Admitted to practice law in the State of California - no exceptions.
- 2-5 years of civil defense litigation experience preferred.
- Strong oral and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Independently work with a senior attorney on team to manage caseload.
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
- Regularly handle and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs.
- Conduct legal research, handle discovery and analyze medical and employment records.
- Frequently handle court appearances, depositions and meetings.
- Communicate with clients and provide status reports.
