At Downs Law, we have a history of success built on our commitment to serving our clients with the highest standards to ensure lasting relationships and outstanding value. We are currently seeking an energetic, adaptable, and experienced Litigation Attorney who enjoys working in a fast-paced, small office environment. The ideal candidate must take pride in their work and be dedicated to ensuring our clients receive the best possible service. The ideal candidate would also value learning, be open to critique and recognize that the practice of law is just that - a practice that is honed over time, and one they are always seeking to improve upon.
The experience we create for both our clients and our employees is integral to our growth and success. We believe it is important to create an atmosphere where each team member can be productive and hone their skills, so they are always learning, growing, and improving. This is not an environment where you will be micro-managed, so being a self-starter and having a diligent work ethic are key. Our firm is fast-paced and growing. We work to build camaraderie and prioritize good communication so that we are a place in which you are proud to work.
We are not the average law firm, doing things the way they have always been done. We question old standards and make sure we check in with what works best for our clients and team. We are invested in finding the best of the best - those who are passionate at what they do and want to be on this mission with us! We expect greatness and are willing to help you get there. We want every person on our team to thrive - professionally AND personally and as a boutique firm, we offer a level of work- life harmony not possible in Big Law. We work consistently and diligently, rather than depend on deadlines and procrastination to move us along. That means we keep regular hours, get our work done and go home. We work as a team - each of us willing to do whatever needs to be done, rather than being pigeon-holed into a small range of tasks. This means that you’ll gain experience in many types of law and be more versatile as an attorney. While we do need in-office time to work together, we are also happy to have seasoned employees work from home at least one day per week. We know that so much can be accomplished working in this way as well.
