Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Core Functions:
· Establish strategic direction and performance metrics
· Ensure projects meet established goals of time, quality, cost and profitability
· Work cross functionally with production, sales, operations, manufacturing and quality to coordinate product launch integration for existing product(s) and future upgrades
· Lead initiatives with product management and sales teams to identify new product opportunities
· Direct project management for engineering related projects and design development stage gate process
· Work cross functionally to assist project supply chain vendor identification and relations
· Identify industry market needs, trends, customer satisfaction and buying patterns via customer contact and voice-of-customer studies and surveys
· Research and implement improved design concepts and technologies to drive new development
· Provide technical customer and sales support as needed
· Provide engineering expertise regarding tooling, prints, product specifications and product maintenance
· Maintain analysis of profitability at product level; deriving cost saving or price adjustment initiatives as needed.
· Support product requirements and matters involving patent and intellectual property
· Provide support for regulatory agencies that apply to dispense technologies including renewals and standard approvals
· Develop short and long-term strategic plans (1-5 years) including product strategy, product roadmap and overall growth plan
· Support customers, sales and distributors with information, application knowledge and product data
· Participation at trade shows and relevant industry organizations
· Maintain department budget
· Responsible for management and development of department associates
· Assist with other projects or duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
· Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
· Ability to manage P&L for products
· Technical knowledge of dispensing equipment for chemicals preferred
· Chemical industry experience preferred
· Strong negotiation skills
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to work individually and with a team
· Must follow all safety and quality policies/guidelines
· Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to think and act cross-functionally
· Perform in a manner consistent with Company Vision/Mission Statement and Core Values
