Technical Business Analyst with a strong background in payment processing systems such as ACH (Automated Clearing House), Fed Wire, RTP (Real-Time Payments), and FX (Foreign Exchange) payments.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the technical and business aspects of payment systems and be adept at bridging the gap between IT and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders to understand the functional needs of payment systems.
- Analyze and document business processes related to ACH, Fed Wire, RTP, and FX payment transactions.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure technical solutions meet business needs and are aligned with industry best practices.
- Conduct gap analysis between current and desired states of payment processing workflows and systems.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of payment regulations and compliance requirements affecting payment solutions.
- Support the design and execution of system integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production roll-out.
- Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams.
- Provide training and support to business users on new payment system features and functionalities.
- Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the payment industry.
- Facilitate the resolution of issues that arise during the development cycle.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a financial services environment, with a focus on payment systems.
- Strong understanding of payment processing operations and technologies, including ACH, Fed Wire, RTP, and FX payments.
- Experience with payment system regulations and compliance such as Dodd-Frank, EMV, PSD2, or similar.
- Proficiency in business analysis methodologies and tools (e.g., UML, BPMN, MS Visio).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks or projects with changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Payments certification.
- Experience with SQL and familiarity with database design and reporting.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies like Agile or Waterfall.
- Experience with end-to-end system development life cycles (SDLC).
