Duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Designs engaging and creative learning activities and courses that drive comprehension and learner retention.
2. Facilitates live instructor-led virtual and in-person learning experiences
3. Contributes to the research, development and management of professional and workforce development programs
4. Conducts needs assessments by collaborating closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify organizational challenges and recommend strategies and tactics to mitigate
5. Collaborates with members of Talent Development and Learning to develop impactful learning experiences that are research-based and aligned with the health system’s mission and values.
6. Stays abreast of the L&D industry trends bring in and disseminate cutting edge practices in training/professional development/education.
7. Designs, collects and monitors evaluation data from participants and stakeholders on the effectiveness of professional and workforce development learning initiatives to inform iterations
8. Demonstrates expertise in designing learning events, with adult learning, neuro science and instructional design industry standards in mind, for engaging and interactive in-person and virtual learning experience.
9. Prepares program presentations, job aids, workbooks, facilitator guides, course journals etc.
10. Builds productive relationships and collaborate effectively with internal team and clients
11. Applies project management skills to manage learning initiatives and special projects by monitoring progress, accountabilities, and making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful implementation and maintenance
12. Aligns programs with institutional goals
13. Provide ongoing feedback to clients, management and members of the team
14. Mentors less experienced Instructional Designers/Training Specialists
15. Performs other duties as required.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred), or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education.
