What YOU will do:
The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for providing vital support to the sales team, managing Salesforce operations, assisting in bid responses, preparing presentations, and contributing to the overall success of the sales department. This role requires excellent organizational skills, proven ability to manage multiple deadline driven deliverables, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency in a CRM system, PowerPoint, and other sales tools. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to learn the ins and outs of sales support.
- Salesforce Management: Enter and update client and opportunity data in Salesforce, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Bid Submittals: Assist in preparing, editing for accuracy/clarity and submitting bids to client systems, ensuring compliance with all company and client requirements, ensuring all submissions meet deadlines and align with company standards
- Document Preparation: Assist in the preparation of presentations, proposals, and other documents as needed, ensuring timely follow-ups and engagement.
- Tool Management: Assist in the management and utilization of various tools and subscriptions used by the BD team.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the BD team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with BD team members to ensure smooth operation and support of their day-to-day activities.
- Data Analysis: Assist Business Analyst with basic data analysis and reporting to support BD decision-making processes.
Requirements
What YOU bring:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in an administrative or support role, ideally within a sales or business development environment.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in bid preparation and submission processes.
- Familiarity with marketing tools and software.
