Position Summary:
Bull City Talent Group's direct client has an immediate need for an IT Infrastructure Project Manager to assist with the move/buildout of one of their Data Centers. The ideal resource will have 8+ years of IT Infrastructure PM experience, have led multiple projects involving the move/buildout of Data Centers, and have a history of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of IT Infrastructure Project Management experience overseeing large, complex facilities/M&A projects within large enterprise level companies
- Experience leading multiple projects involving the move of an existing, or buildout of a new Data Center
- Experience working with external vendors to facilitate Data Center moves on time and within budget
- Senior level experience managing complex, multi-team project schedules and budgets
- General understanding of power distribution IDS/IES/IT closets
- Ability to read, create, and maintain architectural drawings and understand structural technical impact
- Experience and understand of the following:
- End-to-end networking components (MPLS, internet, switches, routers, firewalls, etc.) and VoIP/Unified Communications
- Compute/Storage technology stack: Blade servers, vSANs
- Database: SQL, Oracle
- MDF/IDF Architecture
- Enterprise video conference and collaboration solutions
- Virtualization solutions: VMWare, Hyper-V
- ANSI/TIA standards, J-STD standards, ISO/IEC standards, NEC standards, and BISCI standards
- Ethernet specifications and distance limitations
- Copper and fiber standards
- Highly driven and detail oriented
- IT/professional engineering background with a related degree preferred
- Experience with enterprise PPM & service delivery tools to manage schedules, budgets, and resources
- Excellent communication skills with comfortability interfacing with stakeholders at all levels within the organization
