The 67th Precinct Clergy Council “The GodSquad” is looking to add a key executive resource to help us in the fight against gun violence. We are a dynamic organization that has created a holistic model being replicated locally and across the nation.
Job Summary: The HR & Contract Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Vice President of HR & Contract Management while also playing a crucial role in grant proposal development and contract management activities. This multifaceted role requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual who can efficiently manage HR tasks, collaborate on grant applications, and oversee contract lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Human Resources:
● Handle recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling.
● Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HRIS (Human Resource Information System).
● Manage employee relations issues.
● Conduct new employee onboarding and orientation processes.
● Prepare HR-related documents, such as offer letters, contracts, and termination notices.
● Facilitate employee benefit enrollments and maintain benefit records.
● Assist with HR compliance tasks, including EEO reporting and policy updates.
● Coordinate employee training and development initiatives.
● Maintain confidentiality of sensitive HR and contract-related information.
● Assist with organizational development activities.
2. Contract Management:
● Work with program managers and finance teams to develop budgets and financial narratives for grant applications.
● Manage the grant submission process, including deadlines and document submission.
● Track and report on grant progress and outcomes.
● Oversee the contract lifecycle, from initial drafting to renewal or termination.
● Maintain a contracts database, including contract documents, key dates, and compliance records.
● Track contract expiration dates and proactively renew or terminate contracts as needed.
● Resolve contract-related issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
● Minimum of five years in Human Resources Administration.
● Demonstrated expertise in grant writing and/or contract management.
● Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
● Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
● Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
● Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
