Pursuit is supporting a client in the manufacturing industry who is looking for an HR Coordinator for a full-time, hourly opportunity.
What You'll Do:
As an HR Coordinator, you’ll be instrumental in supporting both the Human Resources and Health and Safety (EHS) functions. You’ll play a key role in everything from employee resources and compliance to training and onboarding, ensuring that the operation runs smoothly and safely. This role involves collaboration with senior leadership, HR, and safety personnel to meet the needs of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong working relationships with Plant Managers, Supervisors, and production staff.
- Provide HR and safety support, including onboarding, training, policy compliance, and administration.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies and safety audits.
- Use corporate EHS systems to manage data, track metrics, and maintain compliance records.
- Help foster a safe and healthy work environment by identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
- Attend HR and safety meetings as needed and assist with weekly payroll processing for approximately 35 employees and temporary workers.
- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, including recognition and celebrations.
- Support office administration and data entry tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- HR or safety certifications are a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience in a Human Resources role, with experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with HR and safety systems (ATS, HRIS, EHS), timekeeping, and payroll.
- Understanding of federal and state regulations regarding HR and safety.
- Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Comfortable presenting to groups and proficient with Microsoft Office.
