As the Project Management Lead you will be responsible for leading critical infrastructure projects that ensure platforms are scalable, secure, and efficient. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects that support global infrastructure operations, including cloud infrastructure, on-prem data centers, and hybrid environments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and security teams, to deliver high-impact results aligned with business and technical goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage large-scale platform engineering and infrastructure projects and oversee the end-to-end IT project lifecycle, from planning and execution to delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Work closely with key stakeholders, including engineering teams, product managers, senior leadership, and external vendors, to ensure alignment on project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle to ensure project success.
- Ensure smooth Scrum management, leading daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to maintain momentum and track progress.
- Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and tools, ensuring optimal utilization across concurrent projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as IT operations, cloud engineering, DevOps, and security to ensure the smooth integration of new platforms or upgrades within global infrastructure.
- Ensure adherence to project management framework and governance processes, providing clear reporting and status updates to senior leadership.
- Drive teams to achieve milestones with strong leadership and proactive problem-solving to overcome challenges.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years managing large-scale infrastructure or platform engineering projects.
- Proven track record in managing projects in cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-premises infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), data center operations, DevOps, and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Knowledge of security frameworks, networking, and scalability best practices.
- Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies, with a focus on efficient team coordination and timely project delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at all levels.
Certifications:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe) are desirable.
Tools:
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Asana) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
