The Regional Manager, Operator Excellence Training plays a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of a qualified and effective trainer certification program that delivers best in class operator excellence training to MV Transportation’s operators. In collaboration with the Area Safety Director and division operations and safety management, this role will execute a certification process for the various roles (Safety Managers, Trainers, Behind The Wheel Instructors, Route Supervisors) involved in the onboarding and training of new operators.
Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with Area Safety Directors, GMs and division safety, develop and implement strategies to improve the effectiveness of the Operator Excellence Training program.
- Support the design, development, implementation and continuous improvement of Operator Excellence training, and development programs, including ongoing skill enhancement training and remedial training.
- Ensure training and development programs meet quality and compliance standards established by federal, state and local laws, client regulations or requirements, best practices, internal and external customers.
- Ensure training KPIs are monitored to meet compliance with training standards.
- Support the development and implementation of best practices in training and operating standards to ensure efficient and effective training programs are being administered.
- Administer and oversee the ongoing evaluations to ensure locations are compliant with internal safety training policies and ensure operators continue to be successful once they complete the training program.
- Execute and manage a robust trainer certification process and train-the-trainer programs for the organization.
- Provide leadership, oversight and support to ensure training and development programs are being delivered with a high standard of quality. Audit training to measure against expectations.
- Incorporate technological advancements (e.g., simulators, e-learning) into training to enhance effectiveness.
- Endure Division Compliance with use of training software and platforms.
Talent Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Fiver (5) + years’ experience delivering safety and/or operations training curriculum in transit or related industries.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
- Bilingual (English, Spanish), an asset
- The ability to demonstrate and promote ethical behavior through the establishment and adherence to policies, procedures and professional standards of conduct.
