We work from our showroom in St Clair Shores, MI.
The Role
Woodmaster Kitchens is searching for a Support Specialist who will report to the VP of the company, and will assist team managers across administration, sales, project management, and showroom & facilities maintenance - ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflows.
The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and proven success coordinating work and deadlines among multiple teams & priorities. They’ll be smart, fast, self-motivated and a self-starter. They’ll often be the face of Woodmaster Kitchens to walk-in customers, and may answer incoming calls, handle some bookkeeping, support owners on strategic projects, and help to create a welcoming, trusting, productive, inclusive & creative environment for the team and customers.
Responsibilities include:
Administration:
- Assist the owner of the company with various tasks
- Prepare agendas for team meetings
- Gather mail and invoices for bookkeeping
- Maintain price lists and update information in our estimating software
- Manage hardware and software maintenance
Sales:
- Answer phones and greet clients in the showroom
- Assist the sales and design team with tasks
- Help prepare contracts and estimates
- Create customer information binders
- Maintain contact and lead generation information
- Order and track materials
Project Management:
- Check in materials into the warehouse
- Schedule and provide work orders to trade partners
- Provide information to clients regarding their jobs
- Prepare punch lists for project managers
- Order replacement parts
- Prepare warranty information
Showroom and Facilities Maintenance:
- Procure office and cleaning supplies
- Monitor and help maintain cleanliness in the showroom and offices
- Communicate with outside maintenance contractors
Requirements
- High School diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Some interior design/remodeling experience is a plus
- Familiarity with purchase orders and/or materials management is a plus
- Friendly, upbeat, welcoming personality
- Ability to work under pressure
- Self-motivated and collaborative mindset
- Self-starter and proactive
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to come in early/stay late as needed
- Proficient in the use of basic technology programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook
