About the role:
TMC USA SE is seeking an experienced and talented MOT Design Segment Lead to join our team! In this role, you will tackle complex engineering challenges, selecting the most effective and cost-efficient methods to achieve project goals. You will apply advanced engineering techniques and conduct detailed analyses within your discipline.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead design development and make key engineering decisions for complex Design-Build/P3 projects.
- Stay actively involved with engineering software relevant to your tasks.
- Serve as the discipline Project Engineer on medium to large projects, overseeing the work of your team.
- Plan, direct, and supervise large-scale engineering projects requiring substantial manpower and financial resources.
- Guide fellow engineers and design personnel, promoting technical excellence and supporting growth in the Quality Improvement Process.
- Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary studies and analyses.
- Ensure designs meet all applicable codes and regulations, providing your professional engineer seal and signature when required.
- Prepare material and equipment specifications, review supplier data, conduct shop tests, and assess supplier manufacturing capabilities.
- Perform surveys, studies, and site investigations as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies through professional affiliations.
- Assist with determining budget estimates, staffing requirements, and other administrative or technical duties.
- Recommend and prepare technical papers for publication.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Must be willing to co-locate with the design team in metro Atlanta (out-of-state candidates should expect significant travel).
- Proven ability to perform in a leadership role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with industry practices, standards, and regulations.
- Extensive knowledge of current technologies and engineering software applications.
