We are looking for a Hydraulic Design Engineer to join the System Design team. This role focuses on the hydraulic design and analysis of pipelines and facilities across all project stages, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and start-up. You’ll leverage your engineering expertise to balance function, cost, safety, and reliability in liquid hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hydraulic studies using modeling software to design pipeline and facility systems.
- Provide technical oversight to external engineering consultants to ensure designs meet safety, quality, and schedule standards.
- Mentor junior team members in hydraulic design and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop optimized designs, considering both capital and operating costs.
- Lead hydraulic transient modeling and value engineering initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all internal and external engineering standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in liquid hydrocarbon pipeline and facility design, with project management experience.
- Proficiency in liquid hydraulic modeling (experience with SPS and Fathom is a plus).
- Knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Innovative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Must be willing to work hybrid schedule (in office M/T/TH).
