The Ellucian Banner Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance and support of the Ellucian Banner ERP system. This role involves ensuring the system's reliability, performance and security, as well as working closely with various departments to meet their operational needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative attitude.
Ellucian Banner Administrator Responsibilities:
- Install, configure and upgrade Ellucian Banner software and related modules
- Monitor system performance and availability, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal performance
- Perform regular system backups, disaster recovery procedures and data integrity checks
- Provide technical support to users, troubleshoot issues and resolve system-related problems
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users to ensure effective utilization of the system
- Configure and maintain system parameters, user roles and security settings
- Implement and test system customizations, including integrations with other applications and third-party systems
- Manage and maintain the underlying database systems, including routine maintenance and performance tuning
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular audits and validation procedures
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures and support activities
- Generate and review reports to monitor system usage, performance metrics and potential issues
- Work with IT and academic departments to identify and implement system enhancements and upgrades
- Participate in project planning and execution for system-related initiatives
Ellucian Banner Administrator Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience administering Ellucian Banner or similar ERP systems
- Experience with database management, SQL and system integration
- Strong understanding of Ellucian Banner architecture, modules and functionality
- Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server)
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
