Title - Junior and Senior Estimators (who has 3-10 years of experience into Civil Construction)
Location - Braselton, GA 30517, USA
Duration – Permanent role
100% onsite visiting locations; need someone with general contracting under civil engineering exp with some bonus potential on this as well.
Salary - $90K to $110K
Required:
- Proven experience as an Estimator in commercial construction working for a General Contractor.
- At least 3 to 8 plus years of experience in the Commercial Construction industry.
- Extensive Estimating experience in Retail interior construction and in ground-up new commercial construction.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
- Industry knowledge of trends and designs.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and commercial construction estimating principles.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, with a heavy emphasis in Excel.
- Intermediate skill level with technology and computer systems.
- Strong familiarity with Estimating software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with Bluebeam is a plus.
- Ability to learn client online portals and navigate with ease.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management ability.
- Ability to multitask.
- High proficiency in the ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
- High School Diploma required or Associate-degree or equivalence in experience preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Analyze drawings and specifications and distribute to bidding subcontractors.
- Create estimates and detailed take-offs for each project and use them to develop costs and analyze subcontractor proposals.
- Negotiate with subcontractors to ensure each trade includes full scope of work.
- Create and maintain a cost database for labor and material pricing.
- Lead Preconstruction team members through the estimating, proposal, and value engineering processes.
- Work with clients to value engineer projects within their budget.
- Provide mentorship to Junior Estimators and assist with training as needed.
- Demonstrate understanding of contractual terms, conditions, and requirements.
- Enhance relationships with clients, Architects, and Engineers.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Understand and follow company policy, processes, and procedures.?
- Collaborate with Operations Team as needed and prepare all documentation required for project turnover to Operations.
