Position: SAP MM Techno-Functional Consultant (Master Data Governance)
Location: Tallahassee, FL (REMOTE)
Summary:
- Seeking an experienced SAP MM Techno-Functional Consultant with expertise in SAP MDG (Master Data Governance)
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP Materials Management (MM) and Master Data Governance, enabling them to design, configure, and maintain SAP solutions for the effective management of material master data
- This role requires a combination of technical and functional skills, with a focus on integrating SAP MM and MDG for optimizing procurement, inventory, and master data processes
- Need SAP module knowledge of MM01, MM02, MM03, MM04
- This is a Contract-to-Hire position
- This position is Remote, with occasional travel to Tallahassee, FL
Key Responsibilities:
SAP MM/MDG Expertise:
- Analyze and gather business requirements related to procurement, inventory management, material valuation, and materials planning
- Configure and implement SAP MM solutions, including purchasing, inventory management, and material master data
- Provide support for SAP MM processes, troubleshoot system issues, and optimize system performance
- Design and execute SAP MM process improvements, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Need SAP module knowledge of MM01, MM02, MM03, MM04; SAP module knowledge of CS02, CS202, C223, and SPRO is a plus
- Configure and implement SAP MDG solutions for managing master data governance across material, vendor, and customer data domains
- Work on data modeling, governance workflows, and validation rules within SAP MDG to ensure data quality and compliance
- Integrate SAP MDG with SAP MM and other SAP modules (SD, FI, etc.) to streamline data processes
- Develop strategies for master data consolidation, standardization, and harmonization using SAP MDG
Techno-Functional Integration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP MM and MDG with other SAP modules
- Conduct root cause analysis and provide technical resolutions for complex issues
- Work on SAP enhancements, ABAP programming, and custom developments to meet unique business requirements
- Develop functional specifications for custom reports, workflows, and interfaces
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and testing to ensure smooth transitions
Project Management and Support:
- Lead and manage SAP MM and MDG implementation projects, including requirement gathering, design, testing, and post-go-live support
- Provide training and support to end-users on SAP MM and MDG functionalities
- Monitor system performance and ensure data consistency, accuracy, and compliance
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in SAP MM module with a strong functional and technical understanding
- 3+ years of experience with SAP MDG, including hands-on experience with data modeling, governance processes, and validations
- Knowledge of SAP ABAP for developing custom reports, enhancements, and interfaces
- Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, and master data processes
- Need SAP module knowledge of MM01, MM02, MM03, and MM04
- SAP module knowledge of CS02, CS202, C223, and SPRO is a plus
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus
- Solid understanding of data governance principles, data quality, and master data management best practices
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; an Advanced Degree or equivalent experience is a plus
