Role Title: Product Owner- FP&A
Client: Financial Services/Bank
Employment Type: Contract; Contract-to-Hire

Location: Remote with some travel to NY
Role Description:
A Product Owner is responsible for defining the vision and direction of a product, prioritizing features, and ensuring that the product delivers value to customers and aligns with business goals. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, development teams, and customers to create and manage the product backlog.
- Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap.
- Develop and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and customer needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
- Work with development teams to ensure the product is built according to specifications.
- Make decisions regarding product features and trade-offs.
- Ensure timely delivery of product increments and align with release plans.
- Monitor and evaluate product performance, making adjustments as needed.
- Facilitate communication between development teams and stakeholders.
The Product Owner writes user stories, which are detailed descriptions of product features or requirements from the user's perspective. These stories help the development team understand what needs to be built and why.
Act as the Scrum Master of the track
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- someone who has expertise in planning & forecasting discipline
- light to medium system experience with Oracle, Anaplan and OneStream
- most importantly is a driver who can drive out our backlog and keep our systems resources organized
- Agile/Scrum certification is a plus.
- 5 years of experience in product management or a related field
- Background in either data from a financial institution or Oracle ERP implementation experience or reporting implementation solution from a bank/financial industry or strong PO with bank/financial industry experience
Strong understanding of product management and Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Miro, Confluence).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
