CHA is excited to post for the next 2024 cohort in the New Graduate Residency Program. This program will provide a coordinated, systematic approach to onboarding, orienting and transitioning new graduate nurses into clinical practice. This program will support the professional role transition, integration, and socialization to enable residents to transition from a beginner nurse to a competent professional nurse providing safe quality care. As a newly graduated RN in our Nurse Residency Program, you will receive the education and support necessary to develop the judgment, skill and knowledge you will need to become the highest caliber nurse. This invaluable program will enable a clear career path into nursing.
What to expect:
-12 month New Graduate Residency program
-Classroom time will provide education through a variety of educational methods (typically 4-8 hours per month) including lecture, group discussion, case studies, evidence-based projects and assignments, and simulation time
-Clinical time consists of unit-based orientation with one-on-one preceptor guidance, working concurrently with your manager and nursing educator to achieve independent performance in the clinical environment
Qualifications:
-Bachelor or Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing (must be within 12 months of graduation)
-NCLEX exam must be passed by November 11, 2024
-No prior RN experience in an acute care environment. Prior experience or senior practicum required for Emergency.
-American Heart Association BLS

-If NCLEX has not yet been passed, the date that you have scheduled your NCLEX
New Grad Residency Cohort will start orientation on November 18, 2024. Emergency Cohort will begin November 18, 2024.
New Grad Retention Bonus: $10,000 paid 3 years after starting the program (2 years after residency program is finished). Prorated for part time. Please speak with your HR Advisor for details.
