Akkodis is seeking several Mid to Sr-Level System Test Engineers for full-time roles on our dedicated teams in the Detroit Metropolitan area for the next several years. Qualified candidates will possess professional experience in hardware-in-loop bench testing, diagnostics, dSPACE Scalexio, ECUs, and Python/CAPL scripting for automation tasks.
Prior exposure to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and/or powertrain features along with model-based development utilizing MATLAB/Simulink is helpful. Leadership experience is preferential for some available roles.
Salary is commensurate based on experience level.

System Test Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Supports the product development and system integration processes by developing test procedures for automated execution, implementing tests, and validation, documenting and reviewing execution reports, reporting incidents, and tracking software updates to fix issues.
- Will develop expertise in software test design and has advanced knowledge in vehicle functional partitioning, electrical and communication architectures, and embedded software processes.
- Requires close collaboration with feature owners, engineering, and suppliers to develop a strong understanding of the vehicle functions and implement appropriate test design strategies for early identification of defects and provide evidence of defect elimination.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, preferably electrical or electronics engineering.
- Professional HiL validation/testing experience (bench) while utilizing your moderate to advanced Python and/or CAPL scripting talents for automation is required.
- Moderate to advanced Vector CAN (CANoe and/or CANalyzer) messaging tools.
- Experience with ECU calibration, dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink (model-based development), ADAS feature backgrounds, and/or diagnostics are preferential.
- Hardware and robotics experience are helpful for some roles.
- Stellar interpersonal skills.
