Our client, a prominent, mid-sized law firm in the heart of New York City, is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant/Receptionist. This is an on-site position in beautiful offices overlooking Central Park. Working hours will be 9:30-5:30.
Compensation: $60,000
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, scientific advisors and paralegals, including general clerical support; formatting and editing of complex documents, correspondence and memoranda from rough draft, dictation or transcription and entering attorney time.
- Backup receptionist involves managing incoming calls, greeting guests professionally, and maintaining conference room schedules using software. Responsibilities also include handling catering for meetings, receiving and logging packages/mail, coordinating with couriers, and managing building maintenance and visitor access.
- Observe client matter confidentiality; establish and maintain positive working relationships with attorneys and co-workers.
- In office required Monday through Friday.
SKILLS:
- Excellent computer skills e.g., Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook), Windows 10, Adobe Acrobat, accurate typing (65 wpm) skills.
- Strong written, communication and proofreading skills.
- Extremely detail oriented, organized and possess great follow through skills.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills to be able to work as a team player and effectively deal with members of all departments.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once with prioritized workload.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
