Architectural Designer
Location: Syracuse, NY (Main Office) and Pittsford, NY Job Type: Full-time
Job Description
Bell & Spina, Architects-Planners is seeking an Architectural Designer with prior experience to join our team and work on a variety of projects for commercial, institutional, and Higher Education clients focusing on the building enclosure.
Duties
- Responsible for the day-to-day production of contract documents
- Assisting the Project team with projects through construction - design, construction documents, and construction administration.
Qualifications
- An interest in the field of exterior façade, masonry, roofing & waterproofing, historic restoration of institutional, commercial and municipal buildings.
- Associates, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
- 2-5 years of architectural design experience, preferably with experience in building envelope systems.
- Proven skills in design and construction documents, and construction administration.
- AutoCAD proficiency is required. Revit, SketchUp, and Photoshop are desirable.
- Strong understanding of building materials, systems, and construction methods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A passion for sustainable design and innovation.
- Critical thinking with the ability to balance multiple assignments.
