The Inspiration Gallery Designer guides the customer through the experience of making interior selections for their new home. The Designer educates and prepares customers by sharing our offerings to fit their taste and budget. We want their home to be the happiest place on Earth and work together to make this new home their sanctuary for years to come.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works cooperatively with customers to guide them in the selections for the interior of their home.
- Responsible for guiding and educating our customer to select the appropriate product based on their wish list, lifestyle and budget.
- Schedules customer design appointments, prepare option systems and diagrams for upcoming customer visit.
- Assists customers with interior finishes and lead them to their ultimate selections as well as preparing all supporting collateral and documents for installing trades. Stay current on design trends to create fashionable design solutions
- Responsible for typing and verifying all orders for the Inspiration Gallery to ensure product name/number and cost are correctly specified
- Contributes to selection of new products and maintaining the inventory of the showroom materials.
- Be an expert in your profession, knowledgeable in the product application, installation, sustainability and maintenance.
- Provides information and answers to the field and trade partners.
- Maintains a sense of pride for our showroom environment always keeping it orderly and presentable.
Education/Experience:
- 2+ Years design center experience required
- High School degree or equivalent required, Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Design studio or builder experience required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Attention to detail and be thorough in completing work tasks
- Strong “sharing” skills accompanied with care and compassion to build trust.
- Broad knowledge of builder software programs such as Envision, Bluebeam, Sales Simplicity, and ESS (flooring program)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for building relationships with customers, Sales Pros, Purchasing team, trade partners and coworkers.
