Light Engine is a commercial light fixture manufacturer specializing in high quality, high design LED architectural lighting. Our focus is contemporary design and manufacturing of indoor and outdoor lighting with emphasis on LED technologies.
We are seeking a motivated individual with experience working in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Excel and Adobe Illustrator for the purpose of generating Bill of Materials, application drawings, part drawings, production drawings, and graphic illustrations for instruction. This individual will work directly with the design department, sales and customer service departments along with production. Tasks will include the creation of standard documents, including Bills Of Materials (BOM), to be used for production, customer approval, ordering, and product assembly and installation drawings. The right person will also be a part of the technical support team and act as a liaison between departments.
Must be located in the USA and be willing to travel to New York quarterly.
Job responsibilities:
Set up Bills of Materials, tailored to each Sales Order request
Create, review, and approve designs, drawings, specifications, involving lighting products and engineering applications
Ensure that projects meet specifications and order requirements
Independently develop solutions to unique problems by analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating various precedents and data.
Collaborate with other engineers and product developers from other disciplines • Maintain strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of team members and external clients
Use of AutoCAD and Solidworks to make layouts, analyze designs, and generate new product designs. Microsoft Office applications including Excel experience.
Skills:
1-5 years of relevant Architectural Lighting or Engineering experience preferred. Experience in product manufacturing is desired; experience in lighting a plus.
Ability to interpret and understand architectural layouts and product drawings/CAD files.
Excellent problem solving skills; ability to assess challenges and recommend creative, viable solutions.
Detail oriented person to enter Bill of Materials (BOM).
Strong computer skills, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Illustrator, MS Excel, MS Office
Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong communications and interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and work effectively with individuals at all levels (within and outside the organization).
Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
Proactive, self starter that displays initiative to attain results.
A BSME or Associates degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
