Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Commercial Construction Administrator to join our dynamic team in Tuscaloosa. This role will be instrumental in supporting our construction projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing documentation, and facilitating communication among stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of commercial construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Documentation Management: Maintain and organize all project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and meeting minutes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Communication Facilitation: Serve as a liaison between project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal construction regulations and safety standards, assisting in obtaining necessary permits and licenses.
- Financial Tracking: Assist in managing project budgets, including tracking expenses, processing invoices, and preparing financial reports.
- Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality control, and address any issues that arise on-site.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organize project meetings, preparing agendas and documentation as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction administration or project management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with construction management software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, regulations, and safety standards.
