This nationwide financial services industry leader has an immediate full-time opportunity in Irving, TX for a Senior Principal Cybersecurity Architecture with AWS Cloud expertise. This position requires working onsite Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the Las Colinas office. Will work on a team of 9 Senior Principal Architects that are part of the Cybersecurity team. The Cybersecurity team is tasked with the security engineering, regulatory response, third party risk, and incident response capabilities. This team enjoys unprecedented support to deliver the highest level of security capabilities using cutting edge technologies and automating mundane tasks, allowing the team to focus on interesting and rewarding security work. You’ll have the opportunity to work on Cybersecurity projects across financial services, automotive, manufacturing, high-tech, and military industries. - This Senior Principal Cybersecurity Architecture will be responsible for assessing risk and developing and delivering a comprehensive Cybersecurity program. As a Senior Principal, you will be at the forefront of systems architecture design and implementation including applications, data and emerging technology domains. Will be responsible for translating business and technical requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large, complex IT solutions. This position requires a leader who can identify current and future risks, works well with others, and performs in challenging situations, and is pragmatic and motivated by long-term results while addressing short-term needs
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and AWS Certification required.
- Proven experience with AWS Cloud Security industry standards and a verified background with AWS Cloud Solutions. Experience with Azure, OCI, IBM, and various SaaS solutions strongly preferred.
- 12+ years experience in the security of diverse technologies and processing environments required.
- 5-7 years experience as Lead Security Architect, Network Architect, Solutions Architect or similar leadership role.
- 5-7 years driving thought leadership and innovation across products required.
- Documented expertise in conducting POCs utilizing emerging technologies across several domains, Identity, Network, Data, App, and more.
- Familiarity with implementing authentication solutions such as SSO, Oauth, MFA, and IAM.
- Exceptional analytical and technical skills with expert-level capability in architecture and development.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the proficiency to engage with executive stakeholders.
- Experience in implementing technical solutions that resolve business challenges while understanding new technological capabilities.
- Proven leadership in the establishment and application of technical guidelines.
- Experience working in large enterprise environment, preferably within the Financial services industry.
- Stable work history.
What You Will Be Doing
- Enabling the business in its strategic initiatives by consistently applying the appropriate level of security controls, ensuring alignment with Cybersecurity Guiding Principles.
- Creating security requirements for applications, solutions, networks, data warehouses, data analytics, automation, cloud environments, borderless networks, and initiatives that optimize resource usage based on a thorough understanding of security and operational risks.
- Participating in requirements gathering, developing technical architecture, validating and integrating technical designs as blueprints for secure application, network, and product development that support business intelligence.
- Adapting and refining existing frameworks to enhance the maturity and optimization of security controls and services or suggesting alternatives to bolster security effectiveness.
- Engaging in complex problem resolution throughout the SDLC, including supervisory roles in build processes, test automation, and system monitoring undertaken by cybersecurity business partners.
- Supervising cybersecurity testing initiatives, including the design of processes and standards, effort estimation, resource forecasting, and risk management
- Performing additional duties as assigned
