Gridiron is looking to hire an Observability Engineer with an active Secret clearance to support a government program.
Key Responsibilities:
Elastic Observability Dashboards:
- Design, develop, and maintain custom dashboards using Elastic stack for monitoring and visualization of system metrics, logs, and traces.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective visualizations.
Tanzu Application Services Integration:
- Leverage Tanzu application services experience to integrate and optimize observability solutions for cloud-native applications.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration of observability tools into Tanzu environments.
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE):
- Apply SRE principles to enhance system reliability, availability, and performance.
- Implement and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.
Security and Compliance:
- Maintain a strong focus on security practices, ensuring that observability solutions align with DOD clearance requirements.
- Implement and adhere to security best practices, including Security+ (SEC+) certification.
- Troubleshooting and Performance Tuning:
- Identify and resolve issues related to system performance, logs, and traces.
- Conduct performance tuning to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of observability solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with Elastic stack for observability purposes.
- Familiarity with Tanzu application services, SRE principles, and other cloud-native environments.
- DOD Clearance is a mandatory requirement.
- Security+ (SEC+) certification is required.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong proficiency in Elastic stack components, including Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
- Experience with Tanzu application services and other cloud platforms.
- Solid understanding of SRE principles and practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Requires Secret security clearance.
Salary Range: $80-120 hourly (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
