Insight Global is currently hiring a Supply Chain Specialist for a large client based in the Richmond, VA area. This position will start as a 6 month contract with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent employee based on performance! This role will require going onsite Monday through Friday during standard work hours, with some flexibility. The ideal candidate will have a background with supply chain/logisitics and have experience working in SAP. Some of the responsibilities are listed below.
- Process export orders and miscellaneous shipments in SAP.
- Contact external container lines, freight forwarders, and trucking companies to ensure equipment is scheduled and available.
- Work with third party Inventory Manager to identify/resolve inventory issues impacting shipping.
- Create all associated logistic related documentation and retain according to corporate guidelines.
- Ordering raw materials, interacting with suppliers and updating product specifications
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of experience in a supply chain or logistics coordinating role
- SAP knowledge and experience
- Ability to work with common PC software tools such as Microsoft Office applications.
