Sorenson Engineering is seeking a candidate with experience in manufacturing engineering, with CAD CAM development, CNC Programming, and training experience.
Summary :
Participate in the implementation, organization, and ongoing support of the network and all devices on the network.
Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and support the local area network and all devices on the network - including PCs, printers, and IoT devices.
• Design, maintain, and secure the physical network. Includes the support of all network electronics - including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
• Maintain appropriate policies on firewall.
• Develop, implement, and maintain threat prevention and mitigation strategies.
• Respond to security threats and attacks.
• Management of the anti-virus platform.
• Administration of all servers and domain services.
• Assist with the support of all desktops - including implementation and troubleshooting.
• Work with vendors on developing and implementing solutions.
• Assist with general support in the IT office.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities :
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Thorough understanding of networking protocols, LAN networking, and WAN networking. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Able to interpret instructions both written and oral. Able to work as a team with co-workers to resolve work issues. Communicates effectively in English.
Education and Experience :
At least three years' experience with LAN/WAN technologies and desktop support. Previous work experience in manufacturing setting preferred but not necessary.
Physical Demands :
Must be able to walk to other areas of the plant as well as lift up to 50 pounds. Must have good eye sight and hand dexterity. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Work Environment :
Within safety guidelines, there will be exposed to noise, moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, and odors that may affect the eyes, ears, nose, throat and/or skin.
