We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer with extensive Cisco expertise to join our dynamic IT team and help design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge network infrastructures.
Position Overview: As a Network Engineer specializing in Cisco technologies, you will be responsible for managing, configuring, and troubleshooting a range of network devices to ensure optimal performance and security. This role requires strong technical expertise in Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and related technologies, as well as the ability to support enterprise-level environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain Cisco-based networks, including LAN, WAN, and wireless environments.
- Configure and manage Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure secure and efficient operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining network availability.
- Monitor network performance, optimize system resources, and implement enhancements to improve functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and support ongoing projects.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry security standards through regular network audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior network engineers and IT staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE) are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a network engineering role, specifically working with Cisco technologies.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.) and VLANs, QoS, VPNs, and network security concepts.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and technologies (e.g., Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and SD-WAN solutions.
- Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.).
- Experience in a high-availability, mission-critical environment.
