The Manufacturing Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing regular preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment used on the manufacturing floor to ensure the successful execution of production activities. This position will oversee basic building maintenance and repair. The Maintenance Manager is based in Rochester, NY, but may travel on occasion.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Supervise, train and develop direct reports within the maintenance department
· Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work
· Ensure the facility is kept up to code
· Maintain schedule for PM’s of equipment
· Assign and prioritize daily work orders to a level of importance
· Oversee recordkeeping of maintenance activities via Maintenance Coordinator software application
· Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through inspection and repair
· Implement and ensure workplace safety policies and standards
· Perform electrical/mechanical duties on machinery
· Perform building and HVAC maintenance, as needed
· Troubleshoot to determine specific malfunctioning issues
· Installation of new equipment as well as mechanical repairs to machinery
· Carefully read equipment manuals and interpret drawings to maintain equipment properly
· Abide by safety regulations during manufacturing activities, keeping equipment in check to avoid hazards
· Daily reporting via QDIP regarding equipment status and corrective action timeframes
· Perform other duties as assigned
