Required Qualifications:
- Active US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance
- Working knowledge of VectorCAST Suite of Products for Validating Safety Critical Embedded Systems
- Understanding of Model Based SW Engineering (MBSE) and MATLAB tool
- Understanding of Code Coverage testing including MCDC
- Knowledge of Requirements Management tools such as DOORS
- Configuration management systems such as Serena Dimensions, Synergy, ClearCase/ClearQuest
- MIL-STD-882E or other safety critical process standards (such as DO-178C)
- System level and high-level software requirements-based testing (RBT)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Military aerospace industry experience or other embedded software development experience
- Domain knowledge of Ground and Ship Launching Systems
- Experience with weapons development
- Knowledge of Agile Project Management process
As our V&V Engineer you will:
Support the creation and execution of Unit Tests and Requirement Based Tests (RBTs) for multiple programs under MIL-STD-882E.
The onsite test environment is used both for test development and regression testing. Unit Testing is accomplished with the VectorCAST Software Test Platform. RBTs are created using a customer-proprietary scripting language and executed on the target. Requirements and Test cases are documented in DOORS.
- Have demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to customer’s Test Environment and Processes
- Develop or revise customer’s requirements-based Test Cases
- Develop or revise customer’s Test Procedures based on approved Test Cases
- Execute the developed or modified tests in the System Integration Lab environment, both as part of the test development process and for regression purposes as required
- Review test results and test time history data, during test development, regression runs, and to help debug software issues
- Identify findings to the cognizant Bell designer(s) in instances where test outcomes do not align with requirements or with expected results
- Author and participate in formal reviews of test cases, procedures, and results
The starting salary is an estimate for this position and is estimated to start at $118,000. Actual pay may vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to relevant experience, certifications, competencies that align to the specified role, and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
