Position Overview: We are seeking a talented AV Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing audio-visual systems, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating seamless, high-quality AV experiences. You will be responsible for designing, specifying, and managing AV systems from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development:
- Develop detailed AV system designs and technical specifications based on client requirements and project goals.
- Create and review system diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings.
- Ensure designs are in line with industry standards, best practices, and client needs.
Client Interaction:
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Conduct site surveys and assess project requirements to inform design decisions.
Technical Expertise:
- Select and specify appropriate AV equipment and technologies.
- Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle, including installation and troubleshooting.
Project Management:
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure successful project completion.
- Coordinate with installation teams and other contractors to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design reports, equipment lists, and user manuals.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project progress to clients and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Audio-Visual Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in AV system design and integration, preferably with a focus on corporate, educational, or large-scale installations.
- Strong knowledge of AV equipment, including projectors, displays, audio systems, and control systems.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Visio, or similar tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-D) are desirable.
